James (“Jim”) Cramp is the founder and principal at the Cramp Law Firm, which provides a spectrum of family-related legal services in the San Antonio region. Jim is a strong and committed advocate for all families. His military background has made him particularly passionate about serving military and Federal civil service families in all stages of life.
Jim has walked in your boots (and shoes). He retired from military service in the grade of colonel after having served 29 ½ years on active duty. His military career included flying, operations, support, recruiting, training and headquarters assignments. Jim is a three-time commander at the detachment, squadron and group levels.
Jim has two passions as an attorney. The first is caring about and caring for families in the broader community because they are the foundation of our nation. The second is to continue doing what he did for decades while on active duty—caring about and caring for military and Federal civil service families whether they are still serving or enjoying second careers and hobbies in retirement. Jim provides sound, straightforward, yet compassionate counsel to clients whether they are dealing with divorce, resolving the estate of a loved one who passed, or other family-related matter. He is the kind of savvy and tough advocate clients are grateful to have on their side during litigation and other challenging circumstances. Jim is an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. Mary’s University School of Law, teaching here in San Antonio.
